  okay this is a tough one! I would say...not sure if you'll like the idea but why dont you and Rob both get a ring tattoo on that special finger. See, even if you take the ring of to lets say, wash dishes..you still have a ring!   It is really hard to say without knowing the both of you personally and knowing what is sentimental between you both. The best I can say is to think up words, things, and images that remind you of him and then schedule an appointment with a tattoo artist and discuss everything. I'm sure they can draw you up something custom that you'd like. I recently did this for my most recent tattoo (although it was for some cover-up work and wasn’t really anything sentimental). I actually had also made a little college of inspiring images (poppy fields, Mucha paintings, Pen and ink Memento Mori drawings, etc) that I gave the artist too.   Something that echoes the art he drew for your foot might be nice (plus it would give some cohesiveness to your tattoos as you get more of them). I think two hearts with wings holding hands would be adorable and would commemorate the event really well. You can always put words or dates near something like that, too.   I know you said you didn't want to get his name or anything, but have you thought about maybe just getting his initials or both of your initials together. Me and my boyfriend have each other's first initials tatooed, I have a J on the back of my neck and he has a L on the side of his neck and we both have a tiny heart next to the initial, when we get married we are possibly going to add the date below the initials.   I love your tattoos! I have 3, but I like all black outlines. I have an amnesty dove on my neck behind my ear that I love. I think the outlines look really romantic.   So, you're thinking of getting one on your back or below your butt cheek. Personally my favorite spot is the lower back, which you already have. It's so sexy, but really stylish and classy at the same time. I've decided on middle of my back because thats kind of something no one but him sees and i'm too shy to have a tattoo artist stare at my ass for an hour haha!   I think the infinity symbol is perfect for everlasting love... but I don't know how to embellish it? with vines, roses, or a phrase? I'm afraid I'm not real good when it comes to tattoos :( But you've already got some good ideas here, I think you'll come up with something brilliant!   I would never get anyone's name unless it was my child's name or a tribute to someone who has passed away. We always say "forever" but you never know.I like the idea of the infinity sign that someone had. Maybe as a ribbon, so you can have some special words put on the ribbon?I have the tattoos on the back of my neck, hip, and I'm working on a really large lower back piece that is going to take at least 6 more hours. The other spots I have plans for are the foot, and the front tip of my shoulder. I also love the inside of the wrist, especially for words, since its a spot you can look at all the time.I love the work you have, its really beautiful.
