Pearly 2011

This is my baby. She has been going through a rough month. On July 16th she had her vaccinations and for the first time they used a Intranasal Bordatella vaccine instead of her usual shot. A week later we end up in the emergency room due to her coughing and hacking up phleghm. $400 bill on top of the $189 for the annual shots, toe nail trim and anal gland express. Well, then she developed a cyst like bump under her left front armpit the last few days. We just took her to our new vet who was highly recommended and he says it's because her lymphnodes are trying to get rid of the toxins left over from the bad reaction to the Intransal Bordatella. So beware. Sit down with your vet and discuss the vaccines and there side affects. I had seen our new vet 11 years ago when we had our English Cocker Spaniel Bailey but being that Bailey had become prone to Seizures we had to start going to a closer vet that had a skeleton crew if needed. Which we did many a time. Lessen learned we have come full circle and have found our "Guardian Angel' vet. Pearly's visit with him tonight came back with good news. She is recovering nicely and no more antibiotics or cough suppressants needed after a month. We just need to keep a harness off of her for awhile while they lumpy bumpy lymphnode heals. We had forgiven our vet clinic many a time from issues with Bailey and our cat Pandora. Pearl was the last straw. If they just would have consulted with me and told me the pros and cons of the vaccines and what to possibly expect if there was a reaction. We luvs our Pearly and will do anything to keep her healthy. Communication is key when it comes to you and your veterinarian.
