As part of being a Bzz Agent, I got to be part of a campaign to try out Burt's Bees Sensitive Skin Cleanser and Daily Moisturizer. They boast being made of 99% natural ingredients and to not irritate sensitive skins. I have been interested in more natural products, and occasionally have sensitivity to some products, so I was excited to give this a try. Amazon sells it for 8.46 and notes these product details about the cleanser:
My Review:
One of the best parts about the cleanser is that there is no overwhelming scent at all. Sometimes, it gets to be too much when all your products that you use everyday all have different, strong smells. So I loved that. It was a little weird having a cleanser that didn't foam, and I didn't know if it would remove my eye makeup well - like my Cleopatra makeup from Halloween. But, it actually did a really good job getting it off (with some assistance from a washcloth), and the bonus was that it didn't sting my eyes at all! So, I really love the cleanser. It is still weird not foaming it all up to wash my face, but I'm getting used to it. It leaves my face leaving soft and smooth and as promised, no redness. It's supposed to be moisturizing, but my face does feel a little dry sometimes after I use it. Not as much as other cleansers I've used, but I do sometimes feel like I really need to follow up with a moisturizer. The ingredients do list some alcohols, which is probably why I do feel some dryness on occasion.
The daily moisturizer is good as well, same lack or fragrances and promise to be sensitive. To me it felt a little thick, and it seemed like I really had to rub it in good to have it fully absorb. A little of this definitely went a long way. Once it did, my face felt moist, but not greasy. I do wish it had an SPF in it though, since I am very fair skinned and it's good for me to have that in a moisturizer. Also, wondering how much I'll actually get out of the pump. I haven't found a way to pop the top off to scrape out any remaining lotion once the pump can't get anymore off. I like to use every last bit if I can!
Overall, I really liked it. The price point is a bit pricey, but for a bit more natural ingredients, and lack of nasty fragrance, I'd buy it in the future once my samples run out. I think it will last a while, too, so that makes it worth the slightly bigger price tag, though the cleanser price is definitely easier to swallow than the moisturizer price.
Any of you tried this product? How did it work for you?
