I've been drooling over the great buffalo plaid items I've seen on the web and in stores for awhile now. I wasn't sure if I should make the plunge into buying one since I didn't know if this was going to be a short lived trend, and most items were 25-40.00. Plus, I wasn't sure if I could pull it off. Honestly, I am not sure the outfit above quite the look one would expect from a mother of two staring down the big 3-0, but I really love the color contrast of the style, so I decided to go for it!
I had created a couple plaid polls before deciding what item to purchase from Tilly's. This shirt and a fuschia buffalo plaid strappy tank top were still tied in my poll when I was ready to go ahead and place an order. I decided that this shirt would probably go further for me than the tank, and I just love this shade of blue paired with the black. I can wear it as is, with tank layered underneath, with a hoody over it or maybe even a long sleeve tee underneath it come cooler weather - if the trend is still allowed ;) I used to have plaid style shorts in this same color, but with a different style of plaid pattern back in my
middle school days that I loved, so its probably another reason why I am so fond of this
shirt, lol.
I am not sure what other ways I can wear this besides with jeans or crop pants/long shorts on bottom, though. I am open to some other ideas on how to make the most of this trendy shirt while it lasts since I really LOVE it.

Hmm...I missed this post completely! I love your top. It's really cute and a great color combo. I also love that you attributed your cleavage to VS. You are too funny!
I think you look great. Such a fun casual outfit. I want that top too!
Very pretty....blue is definitely a great color on you and I love all the plaids and checks this season. I particularly like them with the type of collar and lower buttons like the shirt you are wearing. I like the ones with the ruffle on the collar and down the neckline too...but some of them go a little too far down and (at least for me) need a cami underneath. REally great look!
