I'm flat broke, but I do it in style

New Year's Eve

Jan 2, 2009 in Style and Fashion
Even though my New Year's Eve was spent at home with my best friend, sipping pink champagne and watching movies I still felt it deserved to be a little dressed up for. The fringed flapper dress I found at the thrift store a couple months ago and couldn't wait until I could find an excuse to wear it! The leopard bolero was actually made by my mom for my senior prom, and this is the first time I've worn it since, which is a shame because it's fantastic! I need to pull it out more.

Dress: thrifted
Leopard bolero: handmade by my mom
tights and shoes: target
feather headband: party store

very elegant

I love the leopard print bolero!

That looks great. I love how you took advantage of second-hand and turned it into your own with something ur mom made! Your mom has a real talent for making clothes, did you happen 2 inheret that gene?

My mom is amazing at making clothes, I have a couple of pieces in my closet that I've sewed myself but I am nowhere near as talented as she is. Hopefully one day :)
