What I Wore & Other Sundries

Hey, everyone. As I'm sure you can imagine from my lily white skin, I'm not much of a summer person. It is my greatest source of frustration that the summer months are the busiest here in Tag Sale Land. That's, by and large, what I've been up to all summer: work, work, and, oh, yeah, some more work. (With a few trips to Williams Sonoma and the mall in between, I admit!)
I had a little time to spare at just the right time and I'm the Coolhunter this week. Check out my Q&A! I think it's such a great feature of the Buzz Blog, don't you? I love learning more about my fellow 'boodlers.
Here's me taking some time out of working to be silly (and prove that all the work we do doesn't happen by magic):

Here's me having fun with my SIL at my niece's (totally alcohol-free despite my weird face, I assure you) bowling birthday party:

Check out these awesome "bowling pins" carved into penguins:

That was a fun diversion. Back to What I Wore.

The Breakdown
I got an awesome new plant. I haven't had time to hang a plant hanger bracket thingie (very technical term) yet so it's hanging off a curtain support in the background at the moment. I've become obsessed with the idea that I should have plants as my "window treatment" instead of traditional window dressings.
And that chair is new, too:

Isn't it great? I bought it for $50 at the end of a sale we did in Rockville Centre after no one wanted it. The lady of the house did all the needlework by hand.
Also, I stuck that hat block in the pictures to make a certain someone envious. I got it for free at the end of a tag sale we did for a haberdasher!

The Breakdown
- top - some long forgotten brand, $1
- suspender pants - Lucca Couture, Urban Outfitters, $19.99
- socks - Exhilaration, Target, a dollar or two (putting them in the breakdown because I'm kind of in love with their perfect weight!)
- shoes - The Lana by Jeffrey Campbell, karmaloop.com, $130
- bag - Longchamp, tag sale, $30 (fell in love with the unconventional shape and green is my favorite color)
- jewelry - all secondhand from estate sales (except wedding band and Cartier Love bracelet), about $35 total
