Helppp!!!!!

24 ›
Hey kaboodle friends:) I have a bit of a dilema. As I'm sure you all know, Valentine's Day is fast approaching. With an overstuffed class schedule, work, new baby ducks and chickens, remoddeling my room, and a heavy homework load, I have been spread thin over the past month. My creativity has all but shriveled up and died.

What am I going to give my boyfreind for valentine's day???
I'm stumped.

I really want to do something memmorable and romantic, like maybe plan an elaborate, romantic evening... but I'm just drawing blanks here:(

Someone help!

Pictured above is my boyfriend and me.

  • Something simple is to just make a sweet homemade card or awesome collage for him. What is something he really loves...make him a heartfelt collage about that. If you have the money, it would be awesome to get a hotel room for the night just so the two of you can get away, plus you have the hottub, pool, etc! • one time i made my husband a little picture book of the first couple years that we were together, and made a story out of it. construction paper, ribbon, and all! guys have a mushy side that only a special select few will ever see, and you'll definitely bring that right out if you give him something super personal like that :) Report Spam Posted by t33n0rz at 11:56 AM on 01/20/10

  • Treasure/scavenger hunt full of memorable clues only he could get! Cheesy, but isn't that what VD is all about? Report Spam Posted by alicatstrut at 1:23 PM on 01/20/10

  • I like @alicatstrut 's idea. :) One year, my boyfriend and I decided to cook a special meal together. We went to the store together, bough all the ingredients, went to the movie store and picked out a movie, and then went to his place and cooked everything together then watched the movie. I enjoyed it very, very much, and I think he did, too. But that's our pace. I hope you think of something fun and awesome to do! Report Spam Posted by anna_panda at 1:30 PM on 01/20/10

  • I like Anna_panda's idea. That's something my husband and I would enjoy, mostly because we'd get to spend romantic time together without having to get all stressed out about buying presents or dealing with all the other couples going out to dinner. • Treasure hunt sounds awesome! Maybe you could end it with a romantic indoor picnic? Set a giant cloth down in your living room, bottle of wine, lots of finger foods (mmmm, getting fed by a man is definitely memorable) and loads of throw pillows with some candlelight and you are set!One year I went to my boyfriend's office after he had left work the day before v-day and left homemade brownies and lemon bars on his desk so that when he came into work on v-day morning he had a little present to start off his day. But then, v-day is on Sunday this year. Report Spam Posted by elenalee at 3:38 PM on 01/20/10

  • A nice romatic dinner by the fire. Like elenalee said, a indoor picnic. Make a meal together. Get a giant cloth down, turn out all the lights, light candles make a fire, put on some music, and just have a sweet romantic time. Enoy each other and the quiet. • Well I hope you have good luck many good ideas have been posted. Some times something simple yet romantic that comes from the heart is all the matters. Its enough to plant a wonderful memory. Wonders if my husband will remember this year. He forgot last year. I get mad when I dont get my chocolate that's all I want. So I strive to embarrass him at work for all the times he has forgotten. I love to send him flowers and chocolate and have them delivered to him so all the guys give him crap all day. All I can say is paybacks are hell for forgetting my chocolate! • Treasure hunt sounds like a lot of fun! Report Spam Posted by micwillet at 5:53 AM on 01/21/10

  • Thanks everyone!! All of your ideas have inspired me:) I think definitely I'm going to do an inside picnic...I didn't realize Vday is on a sunday this year so I suppose I have to cohearse my dad into taking him somewhere while I decorate our living room (my boyfreind loves my dad) I really really like the treasure hunt idea as well. It would be fantastic to end it with the indoor picnic. Hopefully I'll be able to find time to make a treasure hunt... it won't be easy though, logan's really hard to surprise. I always like to have a present to give him on hollidays (usually hand made) the collage idea is great, I wish I had more time. I think I might also steal @alysiawho 's idea. There is this cute mug on etsy I think that has a picture of a brain on it and script written on it "I love you more than zombies love brains". I might fill that up with kisses. (We have an escape plan for the zombie appocalypse) Report Spam Posted by carringtoncalamity at 10:13 AM on 01/21/10

  • First of all, that is an adorable picture. And maybe you don't have to get him anything, take him out, I'm not sure where cause I don't know his interests but I think if you take him somewhere it will be more memorable. Report Spam Posted by tatianatouch at 11:11 AM on 01/21/10

  • The zombie mug sounds perfect. haha! Report Spam Posted by anna_panda at 5:23 PM on 01/21/10

  • I love that you have a zombie apocalypse escape plan. That automatically makes you cooler in my eyes. Report Spam Posted by elenalee at 5:49 AM on 01/22/10

  • On my boyfriend and mine's [i dont know how to say that] last anniversary, we each picked our absolute favorite foods and made them for each other and then had a picnic in the park.I bet he would love a treasure hunt! Amen to the zombie apocalypse escape plan! Its always great to have one! Report Spam Posted by dreapuff at 8:25 PM on 01/22/10
