The bad

So this month has no doubt, been the worst month of my life. I don't mean to sound like Debbie Downer but honestly it's getting to be ridiculous. Sunday, April 25, my father passed away. We were very close and its a huge loss. My family is in utter dissaray. People I've never met before have suddenly marched into my life and started trying to take over. Not to mention the biggest, most redneck family fued ever has broken out. Needless to say it sucks.

I missed all of my final exams because I was planning/attending my dad's funeral. I called my school and told them the situation, and they assured me it would be no problem. I call them the next week... oops someone dropped the ball and the word didn't spread to all of the people it should have... but its ok... I won't have a problem making up all 5 of my exams in the next 3 days will I? Haha thanks.

My boyfriend and I are frantically looking for a house. We have been searching and everytime we think we find "the one" it's either under contract or sold. We need to get the heck out of Dodge.

aaannndddd.... we live on the Gulf Coast and we are quite literaly sitting ducks, as the oil spill fast approaches. All of our ducks and geese are going to have to be locked in pins for at least the summer, because the oil is going to contaminate our creek. Dolphins are already washing up at our local beaches.

The Good

I graduated from cullinary school this past friday. I guess I'm kind of excited about that.

As kind of a "graduation trip" my boyfriend's family is taking us on a cruise to Mexico on the 31st... but the oil spill might lead to the cancellation of our cruise... so i'm not sure if this should be listed under good news or bad news yet. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

So sorry for your loss. I hope you start to see some more of the GOOD come your way soon. I am so upset about the oil spill. Its just ridiculous. Congratulations about graduating from Culinary school. Hopefully your cruise still goes through, or if not, maybe something better will be in the works for later. Lots of positive wishes for you! i am so deeply sorry for the death of your father. i imagine that no matter what anyone says it cant take the pain away, but i sincerely hope you're doing okay and hanging in there. each day you will grow stronger in knowing and remembering all the good things and happy times with your dad. like they say, when it rains, it pours. and thats why you may feel like everything else is out of control. good luck with finding a home and also (hopefully) being able to go on that cruise. and congrats on graduating culinary school! mmm..makes me think of top chef and all the cool and interesting foods they come up with. take care. <3 Report Spam Posted by cupcakexo at 12:54 PM on 05/11/10

:( Girl, I am so sorry for your loss. It broke my heart to read all the stuff you are going through. Sometimes it seems like life bombards us at the most inopportune times. Congrats on your graduation from culinary school though, I'm sure your Dad would be proud of you. I think we are all praying and hoping that the oil spill is cleaned up as soon as possible (all those poor animals...ugh, makes me sick).
