My styleboard would not line up properly so I decided to do a little blog instead! None of the people pictured here are my family or any body that I know - they are random photos I pulled from the internet.

My Life in Pictures:

I love retro fashion. Especially 70's fashion. That was my mom's hay-day so she kept all of her clothes and I loved playing dress up with her stuff.
I love coats. I have a closet full of them (excessive, I know). The irony is that I live in a very warm placed called southern California and I don't get to wear them often.
I love geometric patterns. One of my favorite is the chevron or zig-zag pattern (it's everywhere right now - yay!).
I love to read. I have stacks of books everywhere. Also, I have what I call "book A.D.D.". I have about 5 that I am in the process of reading. I should stick to one, but I just.can't.focus. Visiting an old library would be a dream!
My husband and I love dancing. We used to go swing dancing while we were dating and got pretty good at it. In fact, we used to teach people informally.
My husband is a musician. Our house is filled with instruments that I am always tripping over. We just got an old beat up piano that is wonderful. So, our house is filled with music.
I am surrounded by noise. Some nice (some not so much). Silence is bliss to me. I need lots of quiet time to pray and meditate in order to feel recharged.
I am married and love it.
I am crafty (in more ways then one! har har har). I sew, poorly, but love it anyway. I also like to make things like jewelry and such.
My favorite treat ever is salted caramel - yum!
I home-school my boy. Most times we like it and other times we do not. I think I have dreams of hiking into forests while teaching him the Latin names of flowers. Right now though, we are digging Hooked on Phonics. :)

thanks for sharing more about you n' your family...great that you are homeschooling considering the American public school system in general....I,too,am an avid reader...grew up with parents who had books throughout our home....like vintage and some retro clothing that I find at thrifts or flea market/antique shops....don't know swing dancing,but love to watch it....and I love music as well as silence...can think better when quiet..... I live in So Cal too, and have the same problem with coats, scarves, mittens and gloves, warm hats, etc. It's ridiculous. I don't think I've ever had salted caramel. Swing dancing is awesome. wow- you have a beautiful soul. I loved learning more about you in this post. I grew up in and around the music industry so I really relate to living with a house full of music. Salted carmel is SOO yummy - have you tried the pinkberry salted carmel yogurt? (the best!) The thing I admire most in this post is that you home school your son - that takes dedication and love and he is so lucky to have you do that for him. You sound like a phenomenal mom.
