O.k., so we know that the eyes are a very important feature to bring out in the face. But, without the right the right frame, you may as well have rolled right out of bed and left your place looking the exact same way! Without shaping and defining your brows, nobody will even look at how beautiful your eyes really are! So come on sister! Let's get you glamorous!!
Lets begin with the shape. Most of us want to achieve an "arched" look. This shape looks good on everyone, unless over-tweezed. Then you look surprised all the time or that you were in a face an all your got singed off!! We want 2 maintain a fuller, more youthful-looking brow, but grown-up and polished.
I prefer to use tweezers instead of wax. I say this because you have most control and precision w/ this method.
Start by tweezing away any unwanted hairs that may be on your upper lid area or more ou to thte side, near the temple. If you have any trouble finding the hairs because they're blond, catch some daylight near a window & that way they will become highlighted 4 ur viewing pleasure. Lol.
Now, where you want the highest part of your arch, simply take the stem of your longest makeup brush and create a visual for youself. Starting with the base of your nose, follow through your pupil (on the same side of course) & up to the apex of your brow. Voila! That is where u want your "peak" It's essentially like connecting-the-dots. Easy enough, right??
So now that you've found the highest part of your brow, continue with the tweezers to thin out the out 1/3 of the brow (I call the tail) into a taper.*Remember: this is the thinnest part of your brow). Now create a clean edge on the brow leading inwards. Don't be affaid to clean up the hairs and give yourself more inner lid area.
Some of us have a natural arch already, but to those who don't-Don't you fret just yet! We can do something that I call "fake-up". So listen up! If you want embrace this look, you have to CREATE instead of INHANCE, we do this by using a pencil. When used properly with short, light strokes in the same direction as the hairgrowth, you can make that perfect brow! Fake it where you may, as well as filling any sparse areas. Tip: for blondies- use a pencil 2 shades darker, and for darker hair, use it 1-2 shades lighter.
I like to use a powder shadow over top to soften any harsh lines with a color thats even lighter than my pencil using a small brow/liner brush. Next, take your comb/brush eyebrow duo and using the brush side, comb hairs upwards and set using hairspray or hair gel applied w/ either finger or mini brush.
There you have it ladies! You should now love what you see in the mirror and I'm sure you'll notice that people want more eye-contact with you! Wink!
Tip: Please do not practise tweez-overkill!! Try to keep this dance 2 once a week activity. They may not grow back if your constantly in the mirror. Don't worry, you still look gorgeous! Also, always maintain the area BETWEEN the brows- no uni-brows here thanx!! If you think you have a wider nose, avoid making the space too large in that area. Instead aim to have them both beginning in where the most narrow part of your nose is. Ciao 4 now! Lemme know if anyone has tried this out and what they think. luv ya's Tamara.
