Friday night is official BzzAgent drinks night. Whoever has nothing else to do or nobody to do it with is invited to join the gang at Lucky’s or Clarke’s or one of the other local dispensaries. Back in the day (which, as far as I can tell, means “in former times that seemed better or substantially different than they are now�) Balter could often be found among the attendees, sipping a Jack ‘n’ Ginger or a Red Stripe. But, somewhere around the time the big money came in, he was more-or-less disinvited. According to him, anyway. Last Friday, the chosen venue was Three Cheers on Congress Street, and ten or a dozen Hive denizens put in an appearance over the course of the hour and a half it took me to swill back two glasses of a white wine with absolutely no character or interest.
