Hi all I am real estate broker for Summit county Colorado real estate service. Many of the people who qualify for this program aren't or WEREN'T people who bought something they couldn't afford. That was the 1st round of foreclosure’s. This 2nd wave is caused by people loosing their jobs because everyone is cutting back because of the breckenridge realty 1st round of foreclosures. I am one of those persons who would qualify for the rescue plan and I bought a house I could afford 12yrs ago. My mortgage is now over 50% of my take-home because my significant other has been unemployed full-time for 1 1/2 yrs. Ouch!!! The savings are now gone. I might have been able to sell breckenridge realty http://www.luckymountainhome.com/ if the person next door - didn't buy something they couldn't afford - This was a 1st round foreclosure and the people who bought were in trouble within the first year. I will continue to pay my mortgage first and hope for the best.
