(10/18/09) Sure, it’s awesome to have a friend twenty times your height who can reach the food you can’t reach. But until we invent 100-foot-tall robotic giraffes, the billion starving people of the world need another idea. And even the robots would only help if there were 100-foot-tall food trees that regular people couldn’t reach. Which, we weren’t the best biology students, but we don’t think there are any. So we’re doing what we can: spreading awareness of hunger as part of the UN World Food Programme’s Billion for a Billion campaign. We hope somebody’s still working on the 100-foot-tall robot giraffes, though, because that would be awesome. Wear this shirt: only if you’re prepared to assist hungry groundhogs. Don’t wear this shirt: around any giraffes. Their publicist has told them they need to cultivate a tougher image, and they might just make an example out of you. This shirt tells the world: “Hungry?
