It may never be solved, but at least woodworkers Thomas Davin and Mary Kesler of Rhode Island have a solution. Their bird's eye maple and aluminum trees offer branch after branch for jewelry storage. The Jewelry Tree's (left) wavy aluminum branches hold 24 pairs of earrings - ensuring you'll never have to hunt for the other half of a pair - and has several hooks and a dish at the base that can hold necklaces, bracelets and rings. Atop the sturdy and curving trunk of the Necklace Holder (right) are eight posts for hanging necklaces that rotate for easy access. The days of digging and untangling are over. (12/21/08) Very simply, your eyes are able to see a much wider range of light and dark values than your camera can record. Even our eyes have their limitations: if you're trying to see the night sky but there's a street lamp nearby, it's very hard for your eyes to make out the stars. Block that lamp out, and your eyes adjust so you can. When faced with wildly differing light and dark values in a single frame, your camera can't record everything, so it has to make a choice. Usually, it does its best to meter for the average light in the scene. That means the bright stuff ends up being too bright or the dark stuff too dark... or a little of both. Those dark areas aren't lost, however. Often, they're hiding detail that the camera just barely saw. Make a few subtle adjustments in Photoshop, and you're on your way to an improved image!See less

When we saw this Sheep Pillow a few months back in Frankfurt and every kid basically started drooling. Worse still, once they held it, they didn't want to let it go anymore and it was true across the board, whether the little tots were 3 or 7, it was an absolutely brilliant sight to see! And it makes absolute sense; it is super soft and super cute, think about it, a pillow shaped like a little lamb? Is there anything with a higher cuteness level? Underneath the flap, there are two button-flap pockets, and one large zippered pocket. Inside the main compartment, there's a divider, which has two zippered pockets on it. Also by simply unzipping the surrounding zipper, you can actually increase the size of this bag to twice its original size. On the back of the bag, you'll find one open pocket and one zippered pocket, but inside the zippered pocket, there are two hide-away backpack straps (for those of us who need one more way to carry a bag). The handle on the top of the bag can be opened so as to attach the bag to other bags, such as luggage.
