(01/12/11) I got thinking about how sea glass is formed. A piece of glass is tossed back and forth in the sea. This process gradually wears the rough edges and makes the glass smooth. The glass can come to rest on the beach. We walk along the beach and find this glass not knowing all it has been through. We just see the result. Life is like this. We will have ups and downs and sometimes do not see a purpose in what is happening. But the rough times in life are the times that build our character and make us who we are. Then when we have times of rest when life is going relatively smoothly, we can be there for others who are being tossed in their sea of life. Colors are unpredictable when oxidized so the color on each earring is slightly different but equally beautiful! They are made with Fine Silver and are light weight, perfect for casual days. The edges are sanded smooth and slightly rounded at the corners. They hang on sterling silver hoops at finished length of 1 ¾” (4.45cm). The back of the earrings are stamped with the .999FS stamp of Fine Silver, indicating that these pieces have a higher silver content (99.9%) than that of sterling. The earrings are suspended from sterling silver french style ear wires with an overall length of just over 1.5 inches from the top of the earwires.
