Buy the shorn (short hair) lambskin for babies. The wool on the shorn is only 1 and a half inches long. The unshorn is 1 and a half, to 2 and 3/4 inches long. Too long for a small baby.
Bowron recommends you put a sheet over the lambskin if you put your baby down on it to sleep.
