(01/03/09) Background Edward Scissorhands, the 1990 film that starred Johnny Depp and Winona Ryder, tells the story of a quiet young man (with scissor hands) and how he falls in love with a suburban high school girl. The film was the first leading role for Depp and the first time that he worked with director Tim Burton (that’s worked out pretty well). Hot Toys, who has the license to produce figures for the film, has released a 1:6 scale Edward as well as a line of Cosbaby figures based on the movie. The Edward Scissorhands Cosbaby line consists of seven different characters straight from the movie. Packaging The Cosbaby line is packaged in a small blind-box that allows you to pick up a random box for a shot at a random figure. Although, some shops might have already opened them up for you to identify which character is inside.
