About Me

Practical Fashonista with supposed champagne tastes and a beer budget. With a penchant for generosity and a dry wit, I barely admit to being a closet romantic with a dose of optimism. Great female role models taught me to love the classics and always go for quality; life taught me to adore individuality and a bit of funk. I'll never follow a fad unless I can work it. If in doubt, I'll just go with black.
I tend to spend my time writing, caring for my niece, music, reading, and just about anything art-related (grew up with a strong foundation in pottery, paint and photography). I find trivia enthralling and remarkable individuals a damn good cup o' tea.

I just needed to scream out my adoration for Lipstick Queen (Poppy King, I love you!). I just replaced my Saint Rouge and hauled out on lipsticks from Barney's LQ counter. I finally even broke my lipstick addiction and dived into Poppy's Black Tie Affair Shine---it's sticky enough to stay on, tasteless and smell-less. But the shine and the depth. It makes YSL's black lipgloss look like a wimp. Poppy created a sexier gloss that shiney red.
My lips are now the best dressed things in the world. Lust, other women, from afar.

In the world of foundation codes, I go with NC15 (NW probably matches, but I like to cancel out any of my ruddiness). What L'Oreal do you use? And, sadly, seems like Rimmel just oxidizes and turns orange on me. ...But I love the paleness.

Gingers unite! FYI, for ginger skin the only foundations that are light enough (for me atleast) are: L'oreal true match and mineral, Mac NW15 (concealer in the pot, the foundation that worked in this shade is now gone), Rimmel, Stila's convertable stick (in summertime) and Benefit's non-fiction Vol. 1.
