This week is definitely shaping up to be a great week - I've got two sets of real invitations that I can't wait to share with you! First up is Jessica – you might remember Jessica's Save the Dates and bridal shower invitations from a while back. Jessica recently used her gocco to print her wedding invitations (and a few coasters), and she's been kind enough to send over a few photos of the finished design: Aren't these so lovely? And the coasters are just ridiculously adorable - I love them! Jessica worked with Laura Nehls from Letterpunch Design on the overall design before printing them herself. Sooner or later every designer comes across the exciting job of producing a map, whether it’s on a leaflet or website the overall aim is to visually document a particular area of land to allow for people to find their way to a place of business or event. An important factor is the amount of detail required for the map, for most situations the map should be basic enough to provide a recognisable road structure without too much intricate detailing. As you will have seen on existing maps, the use of graphics and colours are important to distinguish between different types of road, this tutorial will cover the process of using Illustrator brushes to create a map of a small road network. The finished map graphic needs to be crisp and clear which is why the map will be created in vector format in Illustrator. Imagine if the map needs to be enlarged on the leaflet as a client requirement, in Photoshop you would be left with fuzzy pixelated edges. Plus, the complete map will be editable... See less

She knows what she wants and even though we had to rush her boarding passes, it was easy. She’s using the passes as invitation to the rehearsal dinner. First pass is a welcome letter, the second is the invitation, and the third contains the menu for the wedding reception. See less

Both fold up to create two triple thickness side walls, size proportions tend to indicate the style. All are die-cut for cleaner edges and more precise dimensions, and assemble without tape. All dimensions are inside, last dimension is depth. Why 200# test cartons are better than 32ECT cartons.
