Red Carpet Style: The Women of Mad Men

I love Mad Men and I love the women on the show (remember all the fab stuff from our Kaboodle Mad Men dress-up day?). However, I wasn't completely mad about the dresses the three ladies wore to the Emmy Awards last night. January Jones looked pretty fab in Versace but I can't help but feel Elisabeth Moss made a mistake pairing her Reem Acra gown with a large bib necklace. The gorgeous Christina Hendricks wore L'wren Scott and it certainly showcased her lovely figure, but something about it just wasn't working for me. I have a feeling it's one of those dresses that looked better in person than it photographed.

The one to the far left should not have worn a necklace with that dress! The detail is enough on it's own. Can I just say that I am so over the one shoulder dress. Maybe I'm a snob but those were hot last year.
The one in the middle looks gorgeous in blue, especially with her fiery red hair - however, it's ill fitting! Not good.
I really like the white dress, it's different. The pattern and cut-outs are very interesting. The more I look at it the more I like it.
Christina Hendricks has a huge rack! Sorry, the 12 year old boy in me was dying to point that out. Anyway, I think what's off about her dress is the sports bra effect happening up top.
I pity anyone who has to be photographed next to January Jones and Christina Hendricks! I'm not sure if Elizabeth Moss' outfit needs a ton of work or if she needs to step away from those ladies.
Yeah, she seems to wear that scoop neck/cap sleeve style a lot...and I'm left wondering who's telling her that's the most flattering style for her. Although I imagine trying to wrangle her rack is difficult.
Hmm, I really wonder who advised Elisabeth Moss to wear a necklace with a one shoulder dress :/ She probably should have just worn some dangle earrings or bracelets if she wanted the extra sparkle.
As for Christina Hendricks, I can't really tell if I like the dress or if I just think she's pretty in anything!
& for some reason I can't get over how January Jones looks in anything but her Mad Men wardrobe. She had a spread in some magazine I bought over the summer and I just felt like she looked terrible with modern make-up & clothing. But this dress looks seriously amazing on her!
