Eco Pick: Target's Organic Sheets

Posted by jinnyjinn on Jun 9, 2009
Going green doesn’t have to cost a great deal of money. Case in point: Target’s Organic Cotton Sheets ($35 - $65 for one set). Kaboodle team member albee_d told me that Target’s eco bedding beat out a slew of other sets—some two to three times as expensive— as Apartment Therapy’s pick for best organic linens. What made Target’s set stick out? According to the folks at Apartment Therapy, the sheets are incredibly soft. Sounds heavenly. Thanks, Albee for the heads up about this eco- and econ-friendly pick!

Love Apartment Therapy!

I have seen sheets made of bamboo labeled "organic" at quite a few places. Actually, I see more and more items made from bamboo fabric and labeled "organic". I guess it is because bamboo grows quickly and is a sustainable product. Of course, cotton also grows quickly and is also sustainable. All the organic cotton items I have seen were wheat colored and called organic because no dyes or harsh chemicals were used in making the fabric. I would like to know what Target and other stores use for "organic" standards. That's a very pretty color. Thanks for the info.

They do sound heavenly.
