Feel ya on that. Hubby has 4 and I was with him every time. His eyes would get all glassy. If I do get one it will be in memory of my Mom. I have so many idea's in my head. She loved Japan during her stewardessing days and she loved Disney World. Maybe Minnie Mouse as a Geisha holding a teddy bear. My Mom's name was Teddie. I have a figurine on my desk of a Geisha Bear standing on a suitcase trinket box that says Japan and other sayings. Like stickers you put on your luggage from various places you've visited. The bear is holding a fan and a lantern. So adorable in pastel colors. I may have to partak of the ML before the needle. Report Spam

There are some tattoo parlors that do custom work. Big Deluxe here in Salt Lake is one of those places - that's where my husband went for his arm tattoo. @capri, if you were to go to a parlor like that and tell them what you had in mind, they could draw something up that is one of a kind, then you aren't walking around with an exact image of a figurine somewhere on your body (not to make it sound like I'm bashing that if you decided to do that!). What's great about a custom one too is that you're pretty much guaranteed to have the only one like it - it won't be cookie cutter like the ones people chose from a book. Report Spam

Hubby has a talent for drawing and writing so he wants to do the pic himself and have us take it in to a parlor. There is a well known one in our area so when I finally decide on the design we'll pay them a visit. I can't remember it's name. A couple of our local DJ's frequent the place. The tattoo will be extra special since it would be his design. Report Spam

thanks guys so much! i really want some sort of a peacock feathers coming down my shoulder as a sleeve tattoo, but i'm not sure how i would incorporate it with anything else i'd want done on my arm. any suggestions? Report Spam

@capri, the tattoo as minnie mouse as a geisha holding a teddy bear sounds absolutely adorable and what a great memory to always keep apart of you for your mom. youd be incorporating 3 things that would remind you of her, and thats soo special and on top of that if your husband drew it...wow. so sweet. <3 i hope you go for it. Report Spam

I love your list! I added a tattoo to one of my lists but to make a whole list about it is a way better idea! Thanks! For sleeve ideas I think waves are a good fillers and so are cherry blossoms. My boyfriend has a sleeve in the works and is using those things and wings too! But really it depends on what you like, think of things that you like that would look artistic...Oh and i really love that peacock sleeve =]]] Report Spam
