(11/06/07) This mysterious, luminous tea light holder is made of colorless striated gypsum crystals called selenite. The name comes from the Greek word selene, or moon, since the amorphous crystals were believed to wax and wane with the moon. When illuminated with a tea light candle, the effect is that of an ice crystal, creating a dramatic fire and ice display. * handcarved; size and shape may vary * made in Morocco * measures 4" diam. x 4"H Every gift has a story.
