stargazeron Feb 28, 2008Cheers! Re: info on Puerto Vallarta. We stayed in the Marina District at the Velas Vallarta - lovely gardens/pool. Where are you staying? Less humid than Caribbean side with great breezes but beach is gritty with undertow in some areas. Ignore time share hawkers at airport. Another great restaurant is Sandrinas in Bucerias. streetrod2000on Jan 28, 2008Cindy, doesn't the 2008 Dream Contest continue until September 2008? As I understand the new changes, there will be some photos chosen each month and then those picked will have us vote on one photo to be the winner for the month. ladyoleisureon Jan 11, 2008Re retiring to NC, it depends on what they want to do -- we love the "Triangle" and in particular Durham as it has all the advantages of a college town, but the school (Duke) isn't so big you feel outnumbered by students. There is a fabulous music community here - from jazz to blues to opera to rock-a-billy, etc which is what I love. Wonderful restaurants, really nice diverse population, friendly people and gorgeous neighborhoods. Chapel Hill is more "college town" but it is a very cool one. There's lots of golf, and it is a quick trip to either the mountains or the ocean. NC is also an artists dream - I've met as many artists as professors and musicians!Report Spam -

fly4momon Dec 15, 2007Hi Cindy - Thanks for your nice comments on my new Morocco photos - it's a fabulous place to visit! I've been away from the contest for a while - had a few crazy months. Maybe I'll have time to put in one or two more, but I can't figure out what the judges want anyway. One contest said, 'make us want to go there', but the photos they picked were not in that category at all, more like arty people-shots than travel photos.
