5 Steps to Creating an Awesome Styleboard
Given all the fabulous styleboards on Kaboodle, you may find yourself wondering how to make your own styleboard stand out in the crowd. Read on for five tips for styling your way to the top!
Tip 1: Start with a Theme
Styleboard standouts begin with a clear-cut idea or theme. It could be a color, a decade, a movie, a celebrity, or pretty much anything you want! Simply ask yourself what you are inspired by then build your styleboard around it!
Tip 2: Use the Tools
When you start creating a styleboard, you’ll see a suite of tools located above the canvas and below the words “Styleboard Editor,” We’ve provided you with these tools to help you better customize your styleboard and make it look just the way you want it to. For example, the “Hide Bg” tool is very useful for hiding the extra white space around products. The “Copy,” “Flip,” and “Arrange” buttons are super helpful with positioning of products. If you familiarize yourself with these tools, you can better utilize them in the way that works best for you! To learn more about them, check out this post about your styleboard editor!
Tip 3: Think About Your Layout
When creating your styleboard, you can arrange products any way you choose. Some people prefer making ‘boards with products strategically placed side by side to create clean and simple appearance. Others opt for the more artistically cohesive feel of a layered collage of products. Both options rock! It’s up to you to choose which to use!
Tip 4: Fill Up the Canvas
Rockin’ styleboards make good use of the entire canvas. To best work the space you’ve got, click and drag the corners of products to resize the image to fit the space. If you’ve added all the products you want and still see a bit of blank space, fill it with the stickers provided in the decorations tab!
Tip 5: Tell Us Why It Rocks!
No styleboard is complete without an awesome title and a clever description. If you’re drawing a blank on what to say, think back to what inspired your styleboard to begin with and share those thoughts!
