This week, Mary from Etsy fills us in on the latest trend on Etsy: tribal motifs. Popular from the runway to the realway, the tribal trend (sometimes referred to as "safari") can be perfectly paired with the staples in your wardrobe.

Tribal Motifs

At Etsy, we’re noticing tribal motifs cropping up as one of the site’s strongest current trends across nearly every category. We can’t get enough of the handmade and vintage references to geometric shapes, weaving, and color-block patterns—as well as natural materials in feathers, fur, leather, and wood.

On a more granular level, head pieces, intricate beading, warrior symbols, piercings, animal artifacts, and early hunting references are all lending to this favored trend. Now couldn’t be a better time to let your inner warrior free and discover this trend through the lens of independent designers always on the cusp of that next big thing!
