At Kaboodle HQ, we love to explore new ways to make your online shopping experience more fun and social. Which is why we’re pleased to unveil a new beta feature of Kaboodle—KaboodleTogether!

What is KaboodleTogether?
KaboodleTogether is a tool that allows you to surf Kaboodle together in real-time with your friends using technology from a company called Samesurf. This means, rather than sending out product links to your friends and waiting for all of them to respond, you can browse together and get instant feedback on the products you find on Kaboodle!

How does it work?
Shopping together is easy! All you have to do is invite friends to shop with you, send them a link to your shopping session, and wait for them to join you. (You’ll be able to see who has joined you on Kaboodle in the convenient chat stream area.) As the leader, you will be able to lead your friends through the pages and products you view on Kaboodle. You can also let someone else lead. And thanks to a nifty chat box, you can discuss your finds all along the way!

How to start a KaboodleTogether session
To invite friends to shop live on Kaboodle with you, click the “KaboodleTogether” button at the top right of every page.

From here, you have three ways to invite your friends to join you. You can:

Copy, paste, and send the listed link
Send an email that automatically includes the link through Samesurf
Post an invite to friends and followers on Facebook, Twitter, or both.

After you send invites, you can start browsing immediately. As your friends join in, they will land on the page you are currently viewing and you will see their names pop up on the left column. All of you will have access to the chat box where you can have conversation and get real-time feedback as your shop together.

One important note
If the leader leaves Kaboodle, friends can’t follow. But the leader will be warned and have the opportunity to return to the shared shopping session.

How to join someone else’s Kaboodle Together session
If you’re joining a KaboodleTogether session already in progress, simply click the “KaboodleTogether” button, enter the room number in the box provided, and press “go.”

As you take this new feature for a spin, remember it’s in beta right now, which means we’re still working out kinks and would love any and all feedback. Make sure to drop by our new feedback page to let us know what you think or if you run into any problems!
