When purchasing products online, I like to stalk their every move as they make their way to my loving arms. My recent purchase from Zappos was no different. At one point, UPS stopped updating the progress of my package. This lack of updates turned me to Twitter. Without expectation of a response, I posted a castaway comment about UPS not updating my tracking info for my Zappos order. Within minutes Zappos had replied to me, asking for my order number so that they might help me out.
Twenty minutes after providing them with my order number, they had called UPS for me and found out the status of my package. I was blown away with how they treated my trivial situation as if I was their #1 VIP customer. And that is exactly what they made me in the end by sending me an invite to their VIP site.
I can’t say enough good things about Zappos and I will definitely be a customer for life! Has a retailer ever gone above and beyond the call of duty for you? Tell us!
