I allow the piece to grow and develop organically, folding and hammering and unfolding again, adding curves of wire or shaping the copper around stones, with no preconceived notions of how the finished piece will look. A handspun silk cord with a hammered copper clasp is included. Please specify the length you would like in the notes at checkout. Unless otherwise indicated, all copper pieces are finished with a thin coat of a clear protective sealant, to preserve the patina and prevent tarnishing or skin discoloration. Attached to a silver colored large French barrette. I only use the highest quality clips that are made in France (no cheap knockoffs!). Measures 4 1/4" x 1". Barrette finding measures 95mm. Not all glass is created equally... as a buyer it is imperative that you buy your glass pieces from an experienced glass artist. It is important to know how to combine the glass properly (you cannot mix different co-efficient glass) and that the glass is properly annealed (for strength and durability). I only use a special epoxy for glass and metal which is carefully cured. I also score up the surfaces so that they adhere better. I always stand by my work. I have been doing this for a long time and I am not going anywhere. The confidence and satisfaction of my customers means everything to me.See less
