Based in New York, Amanda worked for Moschino and the shoe designer Alejandro Ingelmo before staking out her own label. Called "Space Oddity" for the David Bowie song, her debut collection has strong pull towards futurism and otherworldly glamor. At the same time, the materials Amanda uses - amethyst, agate, and crystal - are less like moon rocks and more like small slices of the earth.
