Oh, my goodness, do I ever love piglets. These are pigs bread to be on the small side. I'm not so sure what I think of that, but I love piglets either way. I will have a pig one day and I'll be the happiest person alive. :)

Dude, on DVD! I must buy it. I was stoked enough to find the VHS back in 2002 or so. This movie is so awesome I can't even begin to tell you how awesome is is. There's the communism subtext, the pimp outfits, the crazy ketchup-like blood, the fact that Willie is played by Roscoe Orman, best known as Gordon from Sesame Street...such a god damn awesome movie!

Crowded House and Neil Finn are greater than just about anything.

If you don't know who Joe Henry is it's your loss. He's amazing - the only other songwriter in Neil Finn's league, which, coming from me, is saying a ton.

If you don't love Wishbone, you have no soul. The shows are amazingly cheesy and wonderful all at the same time. The kids are the world's greatest kids (like, insanely wholesome) with perfect parents (and lots of single parents in Oakdale, it seems, which is cool) and Wishbone is the world's greatest dog. Add to that the fact that he wears little costumes, talks, and plays the parts of Mr. Darcy and Sherlock Holmes, among others, with great aplomb... Watching Wishbone a wonderful way to spend a half-hour. Seriously, I will watch it any time it's on.

Dang, is this show still on tv? Wishbone is absolutely the shiz! He was responsible for my misguided assumption that all dogs are amenable to wearing clothes. But I agree, lots of cool liberal leanings on this show, like the feminist storyline in the episode "Bone of Arc". And I distinctly remember when he was Sherlock Holmes because I kept thinking they squandered the perfect opportunity to call him Sherlock Bones.

They show it on local PBS stations all the time, to my great pleasure. In fact, my digital cable guide tells me "Frankenbone" (ha!) is on at 4am. A strange time to air a kids' show...

Amazing. I saw it four times during its year-long run. A perfect evening at the theatre. The cast recording does a good job of capturing the show but it's, sadly, incomplete. It was a great production, though, and Michael Cerveris is just insanely talented.
