As you can see, they have a small peep toe, sling back with adjustable buckle fastening with a crossover strap and cut out pattern. They look great teamed with either dresses or trousers, and are great to dance in as the design holds your foot firmly in the shoes and they’re also quite flexible. These are a must for your 40’s/50’s wardrobe! We had these copied from a late 1940’s/early 50’s American pair of sandals, and we chose this design as it’s so typical of a casual wedge sandal from this era, and also for their dance ability – wear ability – and comfort. These were made for Rocket Originals and are a copy of a pair of American ladies wedges from the early 50’s. They’re manufactured to high standards in quality red leather and a contrasting pale cream leather trim. They are also fully lined in red leather. They have a cushioned foot bed for extra comfort and a composite rubber sole. The wedge is a comfortable 3 ¼” high and the platform is approx ½” and they have a small peep toe. The leather ankle strap ties with a central brass buckle, and is elasticated at the back of the heel so it holds your foot in firmly while still having ease of movement.
