(08/30/08) The Blossom Dreams was first made as a custom design for Jessica. An extremely feminine gown it is made in an enchanting pale gold/mauve iridescent dupioni silk. The gown is period-inspired and represents a mixture of styles, with a slight contemporary twist. The Victorian shaped corset has extensive boning in all the right places and gives a shapely curvy line to the torso. The neckline is typical for the 18th century corsets and is trimmed with organza ruffles and lace. The romantic off-the shoulder detachable sleeves have double layer of organza ruffles and a lace trim. The skirt is full, with medium length detachable train which can be bustled. The design on the corset is asymmetrical. A gentle vine in muted green colors weaves its way towards the right shoulder. There are romantic flowers in hand-painted silk and organza with crystal and pearl beading. The boned bodice uses a totally unique and unusual shaping of points and scoops on the neckline and waistline. It has a lace up feature on the front, a lace up back and is intricately decorated with hand painted and beaded flowers and leaves. The full skirt uses gathers, a net petticoat and swathes of organza to create a full and indulgent look and feel. The organza is gathered with hand painted, beaded and structured flowers.
