  The current Whitehouse is having to clean up daddy's mess. Effectively, Iraq is the modern equivalent of the USSR venture into Afghanistan. Baiscally, shift location a feww hundred miles, and repeat pattern of history occurs. I saw Afghanistan happening, in 1979, and the parallels are eerie. Add me as a friend should you wish to do so.
