Digital music formats can be tricky, Monica. As you're finding out, not all formats work with all players. But don't worry, you don't need to re-import all of your CDs. That would be a lot of work. Numerous programs will convert music files to different formats. You'll have to pay upwards of $30 for many of them. But I use the free BonkEnc. It will convert unprotected AAC files to a different format. You can also convert from various other file formats. What file format should you choose? I would convert the files to MP3s. I have not encountered a digital music player that can't handle them. You'll still have your original files, if you want them. BonkEnc won't convert songs that are copy-protected.
