The base of this lovely brooch is made from an upcycled antique pocket watch plate upon which I affixed an lovely brass stamping of a monkey, made from an actual victorian mold. I antiqued the monkey by hand using two colors of paint and then sealed it in resin for longevity. The monkey is toying with an antique watch face. The balance wheel on this piece spins freely as you move for added interest. The pin back has a soldered bail so it can also be worn as a necklace. The diameter of the base plate is 1.75 inches.
