MPC Dinosaur Toy Variations

If you have ever seen old, plastic dinosaur toys, you may have noticed that they all look the same, no matter what toy company made them. After you familiarize yourself with the toys from different toymakers, however, you will find that there actually are ways to tell them apart. For example, MPC dinosaur toys look a lot like Marx dinosaur toys, and if you visit Realm of Rubber Dinosaurs you can learn what the differences are. This page will also show you the differences between different versions of Marx dinosaurs based on mold markings. I recently bought some MPC dinosaur toys and have noticed that they show a lot of variation. I thought I would post some of those differences here.

MPC Trachodon Variations

Created by dinocollector on 2/4/07

There are at least three different versions of the Trachodon. They are numbered 20, 21, and 22 on their legs. I think the hole above the leg of my #22 is just a flaw.

I have several orange Cynognathuses like this. What year did that Toy Street set come out? I think mine are probably from that set too.

The box is labeled 1992. Sorry I didn't post that in the description. If I remember correctly, the only MPC figures in this set were the Cynognathus, Dimetrodon, and I think the Plateosaurus.
