It bears a passing resemblance to a bar of black soap, but it's mostly made of soothing, detoxifying liquorice root decoction with fragrant rosewood and sandalwood oils to soften and calm the skin. (Body soap is too strong to use on your face. Charcoal, incidentally, absorbs excess oil from the skin's surface and serves as an exfoliator. Mo made a limited edition of this one for a film company when they relaunched the Woody Allen film, Annie Hall, because Annie used to wash her face with black soap for her complexion ; we liked it so much we decided to let everyone use it. When we took a good sniff of its fragrance we nearly fainted with delight. It was inspired by the herb fields of Provence: fields of lavender for as far as the eye can see, different varieties in shades of mauve. It has a whiff of the clear scent of thyme and rosemary ,wonderful for skin which needs some care and attention. The deep purple juice from soothing, organic red grapes adds its colour to our irresistible Ooh La La soap. This is for all those who have been grovelling shamelessly for a lavender scented soap and those of us who didn't realise one until we saw it. See less
