(11/12/08) This sale is for a set of two coordinating hair clips. On clip has a flower embellishment on it, and the other clip coordinates with the colors of the flower. The salon quality metal single prong clips are 1 3/4" long and are partially lined with matching grosgrain ribbon. I have found that partially lined (vs. fully lined) clips tend to stay put better in fine hair. If your child's hair is very fine, I can add a no-slip grip piece to the clip to help hold it in place (just let me know when you order). I heat seal the ends of the ribbon to prevent fraying. (11/12/08) "blood on the leaves/ and blood at the roots"- strange fruit, billie holiday note: fascinator you are purchasing is the one in the three middle photos. the top and bottom photo are of a previous fascinator. this new collection is an offshoot of the noir collection- jeweled fascinators shaped like fruits or berries. two handformed copper leaves and pomegranate sections made of czech glass (in opaque bright red and faceted red and dark red, amber and garnet), sponge coral rounds and dyed quartz (watermelon). wirewrapped securely to a small black barrette. inspired by 40's noir and greek mythology- meant to be worn on the side of the head, almost like a flower tucked behind the ear (see photos), but would also look great incorporated into a number of up-do's. also looks killer glamming up a shorter, more modern haircut (though i must warn that it is fairly heavy and even with longer hair it's best to secure the barrette with a bobby pin). jeweled area 2.5"x2.5". barrette length 2"...See less
