There's a similar thing from IKEA that's a lot cheaper. It's the Malm occasional table. Technically a long table to roll over a queen-sized bed, it's got a thin profile and looks really good. I used to have the white and I have the dark brown in my apartment now. I love it.

I would opt for the this one because it seems as though it would provide more light. However it depends on the look you're going for. This one brings a much more contemporary/loft style with it, but you could also take it in a retro direction depending on how you decorate the rest of the room.
