(11/26/08) These leggings are part of my "Luxe" collection of leggings, which are all made from special luxe fabric, that are teetering on the edge of tackiness. Put it this way; I wouldn't want a whole outfit in most of these fabrics, but for some reason they look so fresh as tights. Go figure, I love them! The entire collection will be made up of stretch fabrics in lace, burnout velvet, fancy printed modals and basically any over the top fabrics I can find. This particular fabric is a gorgeous, soft, printed modal (is has a soft viscose rayon feel). The pattern is actually quite ornate but seems to go so well with so many outfits. The fabric has a lot of stretch and is very comfortable to wear. These tights should be hand washed in cold water, and hung to dry or machine washed inside out in cold water to prevent fraying and hung to dry. All the seams are overlocked for durability, the leg openings are finished with a stretch zig zag stitch, and the waistband is finished with a narrow lingerie...See less

It is made of a dark scarlet crispy iridescent taffeta... adorned with handmade scarlet and navy roses in the back and yards and yards on ruffled trim. Has a divine removeable bustle and long train. Sorry it doesn't fit my mannequin, but it fit my corseted body exactly- I'm a natural 36-30-38, 5 feet tall, and I'm NOT a tightlacer. Layed flat, the waist of the dress measures just under 28 inches. The ruffles do not have finished edges, but are cut with pinking shears (it was just part of the pattern!) so it is kinda tattery and frayed, which I admit, I really do love :) PLEASE NOTE!! This dress is a disaster inside. I was in a hurry to make it, and the pattern for the lining just did NOT work out. I had to rip it out and you can see the interfacing. This is not top quality, but just a fun, beautiful dress for your next Victorian Ball or whatever!!See less
