What will I wear to Easter brunch? I'd love to say this beautifully blue number. But not so. Given that my shape leans a little more toward top heavy, I'm afraid I might be mistaken for a colored egg. BUT where that not the case, I'd be all over this sweet frock.

Do I need these? Um, no. So why do I find myself rationalizing buying them? Two words: bunnies and pastels! Who wouldn't want to start the day sipping out of one of these--even long after the Easter bunny has come and gone.

I don't eat jelly beans. But I DO buy them around Easter for another purpose: to create a jelly bean vase. Here's how it's done: Fill the bottom of a clear glass vase with gorgeous jelly beans. Nestle a tall glass in the middle of the larger vase, so the jelly beans surround it. Carefully fill the glass with enough water for flowers--without getting the jelly beans wet--then fill the glass with flowers so that all you see are jelly beans within the vase and flowers sticking out of it. Viola!

While blogging at Glam.com I divulged my passion for peeps as follows, "It may be the seasonal equivalent of a Twinkie, but around my house the gritty electric-yellow candy chicks are props for a longstanding and very fun game of Peep-a-Boo: Secretly buy a pack of peeps, hide them in funny places, and wait for your partner to stumble upon them. (They look especially cute floating in the toilet–their very own indoor pond–and finding one in the bowl always gets a laugh.)"

After a childhood spent hating Peeps (they were always left in my basket along with the grass long after the other candy was gone), I have grown to appreciate them. And, much like circus peanuts, which I also love, they last forever and, despite getting the tiniest bit stale, they don't go bad.

While I wouldn't dash out and buy these merely to use for serving dips or appetizers at an Easter extravaganza, I would consider them because they will double year-round as dishes for my three-year-old. And, hey, they're cute and cheap.
