I love my bouquet. I haven’t seen it yet, but it exists in somewhere in the feathery, floaty, martha-polluted reaches of my mind. Because of my overwhelming love for my bouquet, I’m having a hard time reconciling myself to the idea of throwing it into the masses of single, ambitious, love-hungry ladies at my wedding. Crazy ladies like ME. I have been known to, at more than one wedding, so ferociously go after the bouquet that people ended up maimed. For ‘realz’ - at my first wedding (when I was twelve), I jumped up and elbowed two ladies in the face! (I don’t remember this, I kind of “black out” during bouquet tosses, only coming-to when I feel the bouquet handle lodged securely in my grip, feel the thrill of triumph running through my veins, and/or hear the angry mutters around me (”did you SEE her?”) I’m a wee bit competitive and prone to believing in wedding superstitions. A few people have emailed asking how to make the little fabric-covered tacks I posted previously. See step-by-step photos below, going from left to right. Start with a pack of "Wedding Gown Size" (size 20, 1/2") metal buttons to cover (available at fabric stores for about $1.50). Pull the loops off all the button backing pieces with a pliers or wire cutter. Cut your fabric scraps into circles slightly larger than a quarter, or use the circle template printed on the back of your button package. (Since the edges get tucked in under the metal backing, you don't have to be a careful cutter.) Following the package directions, use the "pusher" tool that came in the pack to cover your buttons with fabric. This step is easy and the most fun! Then use a generous amount of hot glue to attach a tack to the back of your button. A standard tack should fit perfectly. Your cork board will thank you. POST SCRIPT: You can buy buttons to cover that have flat backs so you don't have to yank off the wire... See less

Make a folder on your computer and put your images there, named, for example "accomplished.jpg". Once you've got all 132 then you can edit the pictures and colorize them to make them all pretty. Save them, either overwrite the original image, or make another new folder. Here's an easy way to make the images: Take your screencap, resize it, paste it into a new image (i used size 90x40). Duplicate it 3 times, set those layers to screen, add a layer of saturation +10 and here's what you get. This is fairly time consuming. The hardest part is finding all the pictures to use. Read through the list, and you can use similar pictures for many of the moods. For example, pictures of people smiling for the moods bouncy, cheerful, ecstatic, excited, giddy, good, etc... We sent her two different concept designs. I tried to get feedback on which one she liked and was told to hold off until the reception was figured out. So, I didn't press the issue and we put her invitations on the back burner awaiting further instruction. A week later I get an email requesting WHEN they'll get the invitations. Um... ? Yeah, we're still waiting on which DESIGN you like. 2. We are not mind readers. Convos you have in your head will not translate to the final product. I overnighted her envelopes to her so she could get everything done early with addressing. She calls back the next day asking WHERE the outer envelopes were. No where in any of our emails or voice mails were inner AND outer envelopes talked... See less

Of course, after he made such beautiful designs for the invitations and programs, I was really having a hard time finding thank you cards I liked that had our wedding colors... even though our invites and programs were the mango pressed reddish orange color, I really wanted thank you cards that were chocolate and orange, so I went to Papyrus, bought blank cards, and then decorated my own.
