Have extra paper on hand to replace, if your stamping gets messy. * Practice your stamp a few times on scrap paper, before stamping the actual invitation. If necessary, make guide marks on the top of your stamp, so you know exactly where to place it, in relation to your invitation. This was especially important for me, because I wanted the stamp close to the text but not overlapping, and also because I was using only a portion of the stamp on the invitation. * Once you are comfortable with the stamp spacing and amount of ink needed, load your stamp with ink, and stamp the invitation paper. * Transfer the stamped paper to a clean piece of scrap paper, and pour a generous amount of embossing powder over the ink. Delivered to client and on their way to guests, I've been dying to show off these custom envelope liners I designed for a recent wedding invitation. The couple, Shira and Loren have very strong family ties - and Inspired Goodness has been working hard to find creative ways to showcase the love they both share for their loved ones. When working on their invitation suite, I knew a printed liner was going to be part of the overall look, but was at a loss for a pattern that didn't overwhelm the blind emboss and letterpress pieces that the other pieces featured. And then it hit me to do a modified family tree. It was the perfect solution on how to incorporate their family into the set! Starting with an illustration from iStockPhoto, I modified existing art to work with the design and fit into the liner shape. We printed the illustration on an uncoated paper stock in silver ink, to match the calligraphy and addresses on the envelopes. John helped me cut each of the liners and we setup an... See less

Step 2: Layout the muslin and iron flat the section you wish to do the logo. I placed mine toward the bottom of the aisle runner. Step 3: I purchased the stencil from Hobby Lobby. Arrange the stencil so that you will be able to fit two of them angled where the ends almost touch. Step 4: Complete the circle by rotating the stencil around four times. Step 5: For the initials, create your layout on the computer and print it. Place the paper under the fabric centered in the circle. You will be able to see the initials through the fabric.Trace the initials with paint. I used acrylic craft paint. Do the same thing for the date. Step 6: The edges of the muslin are already serged all you have to do is serge or hem the top and bottom of the muslin.
