I am a Floridian and I actually carved this ring while watching the weatherman map one of our three hurricanes in 2004 - Charley, Frances or Ivan. I can remember sitting with a piece of wax and a file and numbly playing with it in my fingers, when I looked down I had created the same hurricane symbol I was watching on TV! I love this ring (you can also wear it as a pendant) not only because it is sleek, comfortable and modern but because it makes me pause and count my blessings.
