if you are ever in the santa cruz, ca area, you should totally go to the university and check out the organic farm. its free and pretty and has a great view! the volunteers who help with the fields and such live in "teepees" (really, just tents) on the land, one: its cheaper than trying to rent while you work there, and two: it ties into the whole crunchy/organicness of the place. plus there are great jogging and biking trails and lots of trees. also, very kid friendly, lots of little...
