Okay, you guys, it took us a day to fully process what we saw on the red carpet at the American Music Awards this weekend. We always know to expect the unexpected when it comes to musicians and fashion, but we're still always a little surprised at what passes for sartorial good ideas in the music world. Take for example these three ladies...

Now, Shakira, we know this wasn't the dress you wore as you walked the arrivals red carpet, but we're not sure why you changed into this Hervé Léger number after the ceremony. The post-show black carpet does not call for this much tight, sparkly fabric and that much skin all at once. And one arm warmer thing? Really?

Rihanna, you've been through a lot this year and we love you for being strong and getting your life back on track, but this dress, by Marchesa, is not a step in the right direction.

Paula, if it takes this many people for you to be able to walk down the red carpet in your gown from designer Enzoani, you might want to reconsider your dress selection.
