Since I'll rocking the broken toe look—aka no heels— for the next few weeks (I tripped wearing a pair of heels and chipped one of my toe bones!), I thought I'd devote a post to sensible and stylish shoes. As foxy as heels are, we can't wear them all the time and these flats are just the things to snazz up your favorite casual jeans outfits. I need some...so I don't have to wear slippers for the next month!

I spotted these cute flats at Target yesterday and was all set to buy them. They're adorable, on trend for fall, and only $13! Can't beat that! My boyfriend, however, doesn't care for animal print and vetoed my purchase. I guess I'll just have to head back to Target without him. They also come in a bunch of other colors and patterns too, in case you're not an animal print lover either—check out all twenty-seven!!

We're used to seeing ultra-glamorous burlesque star Dita Von Teese looking fabulous in five-inch Christian Louboutin heels. We're less used to seeing her appear in more sensible shoes. Lately photos of Dita hitting the street in flats have been popping up on the celeb blogs (like this photo of Ms. Von Teese in vintage '40s shoes at the Coachella music festival). These photos have made me realize two things: 1. You can look fabulous in flats. 2. I need more flats!
