The Best and Worst of Neutrals on the Red Carpet

There's a lot of variety in the following dresses, but they're all in that nude/satiny/metallic/shimmery white family. We're not sure any of these stars hit it out of the park, but take a look and let us know what you think!


Angelina Jolie in Atelier Versace and her very best, "Yes, I know I'm perfect," face.



Nominee Charlize Theron is undoubtedly beautiful, but we can't help but wish this Dior Couture dress didn't have a slit or hip growth.



Jessica Biel looks as excited about her Elie Saab dress as we were. Actually, we liked the lace and open back details, but weren't so excited about the slit and slightly too frumpy bodice.



Nicole Kidman opted for a studded bluish Versace dress that we have nothing to say about, good or bad.



Katharine McPhee hit the Globes in Donna Karan to promote her upcoming show Smash, which we really want to like.



It-girl of the year, Jessica Chastain, a nominee for The Help, selected a pearl-studded Givenchy and beauty-pageant hair for the Globes.



A nominee for The Descendents, Shailene Woodley wore Marchesa. While it was safe and the bodice could have fit better, she looked very nice.

  • Oh dear, most of these were bad choices in my opinion except for Charlize Theron who was quite literally a vision in white (and I don't mind the slit or hip growth).
