Our Top Three Royal Wedding Highlights

According to our most recent poll on Facebook, most of you missed last night's royal wedding. Fear not, you well-rested Kaboodlers you, because we're here to fill you in with our top three highlights from the royal wedding.

First, can we talk about Pippa's dress? Sure it's Kate's big day and she looked the part of a real-life princess, but then there's Pippa trailing behind, holding up her sister's train like a perfect maid of honor, in a gorgeous ivory Alexander McQueen gown that's just begging for proper recognition! It may be totally sacrilegious or get me blacklisted from England, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I enjoyed Pippa's McQueen dress much more than (sorry, Kate!) the bride's long-sleeve lacy number.

Moving right along, we have to give props to Princess Beatrice of York (above, right) for bringing a touch of Gaga to an otherwise predictable red carpet. Check out Bea's fascinator! I was really hoping it was an octopus when I first saw it, but it's still OTT enough as is to earn Princess Bea our "Wackiest Hat" award.

And finally, what major British wedding would be complete without a Spice Girl? While David disappointed us by never actually wearing that silk top hat he's carrying around, Victoria Beckham delighted us in a navy blue dress from her Victoria Beckham Collection, custom Christian Louboutin  heels, and a Philip Treacy fascinator. There's no doubt Posh Spice makes maternity wear look good!

  • Helloooooo, Mr. Beckham. Report Spam Posted by mamor at 10:51 AM on 04/29/11

  • I too think Pippy may have upstaged her sis, but I thought it was a no-no for bridesmaids to wear white! Report Spam Posted by kaboodles_of_fun at 10:57 AM on 04/29/11

  • Loved Pippa's dress! But I also think Kate looked AMAZING! I love the nod to Grace Kelly. @kaboodles_of_fun I actually just read that it's British tradition for bridesmaids to wear white too--started by Queen Victoria. Although it does look like there's more room for upstaging the bride with that choice Report Spam Posted by amylc16 at 11:04 AM on 04/29/11

  • Kate looks stunningly gorgeous to me. Her make up and hair were flawless & classic. I also really liked the simple flowers that she carried. Report Spam Posted by weslee at 11:09 AM on 04/29/11

  • I loved Kate's dress seems classic and romantic, that's a good choice I think for a wedding that will be remembered forever not something that she'd say what was I thinking in 5 or 10 years, beautiful Report Spam Posted by xjoliexgreenx at 12:24 PM on 04/29/11

  • she looked stunning! her sister too...loved seeing all the flamboyant hats of the wedding guests - it's really amazing when you look at William and Kate and realize they have a 'real' relationship that's been going on for 9 years and have been living together and have real love - I think this is the start of a new era for that country - ceremony was beautiful :) Report Spam Posted by sweetshorty at 2:27 PM on 04/29/11
